Jessie Penn-Lewis drives the nail on the head! Our battle is not with flesh and blood, but participating in overcoming the war our enemy (Satan) forcefully pushes though he has 'no chance in hell' being defeated by the Almighty before the creation of the universe. Excellent read.
This article has given me more insight into the relationship of the mind to the Word of God than any article or book I have read (besides the scriptures) in over 25 years of preaching/teaching the Bible. Though not in total agreement with all her statements, she is firmly rooted in the Word in her responses and writes in a very easy to understand manner. Jesse Penn-Lewis was truly at a deeper level spiritually than her peers and even many today.

I recommend to all those in Christ to read this little short book. It will help you in your faith.

Some very great thoughts on keeping your mind. In a day where so much is pulling at us and vying for our attention...this book brings into focus, that which is most important. Good read.
A subject believed only to be adequately handled psychologically is the state of mind. The author in this very insightful, concise reading brings out the spiritual cause and cure of the troubling of the mind, and sufficiently points the way to a mind blessed with peace from God. If followed, a Christian will be kept from the secular based misconception that passes for psychology in our day to learn peace of mind in a way pleasing to Jesus Christ.
Every Christian should read this book. This subject has been pigeon-holed and swept under the rug by modern day theologians because it forces them to explain things they have tried to rationalize through their human mind, instead of by searching in the Scriptures for God's answers.
